Higgins Building Supplies Ltd is a Wellingborough based builders merchants, serving Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. Over the years, Remark has provided ongoing telephone support from 1999 to present, updated data networks in 2003 and installed fibre optics links to Higgins’ Yard Hut in 2008.

In 2012 Higgins Building Suppliers Ltd needed its employees to be able to connect to the main business telephone system and high-speed IP infrastructure from other remote locations via a modern IP telephone system.

Actions and Solutions

With the aim of creating remote access points to allow Higgins’ staff to connect to the telephone network, we supplied and installed a Samsung system which can connect to five devices simultaneously, such as mobile phones, office telephones and workshop extension lines. Functionality included call reporting for up to 50 users and call recording on all lines and extensions.

To enhance the functionality of its business telephone systems we recommended and installed IP Keyphones, on which we installed bespoke voicemail facilities. We provided Higgins Building Suppliers Ltd with all relevant licences for the Keyphones. The digital telephone systems included a connection card to allow access for up to 30 lines and all of the connections were linked to the company's existing network infrastructure.
