Mark and the Marathon!

Huge congratulations to our Desktop Support Analyst, Mark Egerton, for running this year’s London Marathon.

Mark trained hard for the big race and somehow managed to refrain from touching any form of alcohol during his training period! Mark chose to run the marathon in support of the Epilepsy Research and Parkinson’s charities, both of which are close to his heart through family experiences.

For all of us that were asked to “watch out for a slightly overweight broken rugby player towards the back of the run!!” Mark recorded a time of 5 hours and 38 minutes and the whole of the Remark team are extremely proud of his achievement.

Mark commented on his experience ‘I started off well at a nice steady pace in-line with what I’d been training at and was actually enjoying it. It was a great day overall, the crowds and encouragement all around the course is amazing and really does lift you if you’re going through a bad spell. Even if you don’t run I would still recommend going and watching to experience the event. Thanks to everyone that has donated, currently sitting around £250 with online donations and cash donations’.

Mark’s donation page is still open untill 23rd May for anyone wishing to contribute to the two chosen charities through Mark’s effort. Donate here!!
