Remark attend the Facilities Show 2018

The annual fest that is the Facilities Show 2018 looked at what lies ahead in terms of offices spaces and sustainability.

The three-day show took place from 19th – 21st June at the ExCel Centre in London, and ran alongside the Health and Safety Expo, Field Service Management Expo and the Professional Clothing Show.

Sustainability was a main theme of the show, with a particular emphasis this year on reducing the amount of plastic in the workplace and rediscovering old technology and improving it to be eco-friendlier. Seminars focused on how the facilities management (FM) sector has developed with increased regulation and social pressures on environmental issues, and how it can respond in the future to benefit from greater sustainability.

Kicking off the week was a talk from the comedian, writer, actress and mental health advocate, Ruby Wax. Wax addressed the importance of good mental health as well as tackling the problems of communications within businesses and organisations, especially for leaders.

Remark were there for the first time, exhibiting with our American partners, Cambridge Sound Management, the team for the show are pictured above.

Over the three days the stand received over a huge amount of traffic interested in the Sound Masking Solutions on offer. Our Audio-Visual Specifier, comments;

“The Facilities Show was much bigger than I expected, actually it was several trade shows rolled into one. It’s fair to say that the Sound Masking technology we promoted certainly turned a few heads.”
