Remark Group installs and supports forklift pedestrian safety systems for manufacturers across the Midlands and beyond.
Every forklift safety system is surveyed, designed, installed and configured by our own, fully qualified and insured electrical engineers trained through our in-house training programme, and is owned by you outright with no subscription, backed by responsive on-site support.
The Midlands is one of the UK’s densest manufacturing regions, and on most of those sites forklifts and people share the same floor space every shift. The risk concentrates where they meet: junctions, doorways, walkways, loading bays and blind corners. A forklift pedestrian safety system watches those interaction points continuously and reacts faster than a person can, triggering a warning before a collision can happen rather than recording it afterwards. It also supports your duty to manage the risk where vehicles and pedestrians share space, set out in HSE’s brief guide to workplace transport safety. (See how the detection works)
A forklift safety system isn’t a product you take out of a box; it’s designed around your floor. That makes being able to get to your site quickly genuinely useful. A local installer can survey your layout in person, design camera positions and detection zones around how your operation runs, and return to reconfigure the system as your layout or process changes.
Because Remark Group systems process on site rather than in the cloud, support is about your own infrastructure, not a remote platform you’re renting. Combine that with regional coverage and you get shorter lead times for surveys and installations, and a supplier who can be on your floor when it matters.
Operating from Peterborough, Remark Group is well placed to serve manufacturers across the Midlands, and we work with sites nationally. Our focus in this region covers:
If your site sits outside these areas, we still install and support systems nationally; the Midlands is simply where much of our manufacturing work is focused.
The system suits most indoor industrial environments, including manufacturing floors, warehouses, distribution centres and loading bays. Detection zones are defined in software and shaped around your specific risk areas, so the system fits your building rather than forcing you to change it. Extremely harsh conditions, such as heavy dust, steam, smoke or consistently poor visibility, may need additional design considerations, which the site survey identifies.
Every installation starts with a site survey. We assess your layout, traffic flows, risk areas, lighting, mounting positions, ceiling heights and network, then design the camera positions, detection zones and outputs around your operation. From there, our fully trained electrical engineers install, commission and calibrate the system so it performs reliably in your environment, and configure detection zones, alert logic, schedules and outputs to match how your site actually runs. Because a forklift safety system is highly configurable, it can be adjusted whenever your operation changes.
Ongoing support and maintenance is available but not mandatory. A support agreement can cover system health checks, software updates, configuration changes, performance reviews and remote troubleshooting. Because you own the forklift safety system rather than rent it, you choose the level of support that suits you rather than paying a compulsory monthly fee, and any updates are scheduled to keep disruption to a minimum.
Across indoor industrial sites, the same high-risk interaction points come up again and again: pedestrian crossings on busy through-routes, reversing manoeuvres in loading bays, blind corners created by racking, and doorways where foot traffic meets vehicle traffic. Detection is configured to protect these points specifically, with the output matched to each area, from beacons and alarms to traffic lights, barriers and integration with existing safety systems.
Most enquiries come from established manufacturing operations acting proactively, by reducing risk, strengthening safety culture and demonstrating compliance before an incident forces the issue. An installed, owned system fits that mindset: a one-off investment with no ongoing subscription, on-site processing that keeps your data under your control, and a supplier who runs the whole process from first survey to ongoing upkeep. (Compare installed vs subscription)
If you run a manufacturing site in the Midlands, a site survey is the quickest way to see where pedestrian detection would make the biggest difference. We’ll assess your floor, pinpoint your highest-risk interaction points, and design a system around how your operation runs, with no obligation.
Remark Group installs and supports forklift pedestrian safety systems for manufacturers across the Midlands, including the East Midlands, the West Midlands and Shropshire. Every forklift safety system is surveyed, designed, installed and configured by our own engineers, who are fully qualified and insured electrical engineers trained through our in-house training programme, with on-site support.
We operate from Peterborough and work with manufacturers across the Midlands and nationally. That base puts us within easy reach of the East and West Midlands for surveys, installations and on-site support.
Our regional focus covers the East Midlands (including around Nottingham, Derby and Leicester), the West Midlands (including around Birmingham) and Shropshire. We also install and support systems nationally.
Yes. Ongoing support is optional and can cover system health checks, software updates, configuration changes, performance reviews and remote troubleshooting. Because you own the forklift safety system, you choose the level of support rather than paying a compulsory subscription.
